Sales Engineer - Smart Metering (m/f/x)
CO2 emissions in the real estate sector must be reduced quickly. But what is not measured cannot be controlled in a targeted manner: Our live data on consumption and generation in properties enables the most effective use of electricity, gas, heat and water in everyday life.
We are a young Berlin start-up that supports sustainability and also lives it in our day-to-day business. We are looking for a Sales Engineer - Smart Metering in Berlin or Heidelberg at the earliest possible date.
Responsibilities
- You will help develop new business areas in the field of smart metering and independently build up the pipeline long before the topics are standardized in sales.
- You will be responsible for designing pilot projects from the initial technical evaluation through the bidding phase to implementation, and will ensure that new topics are successfully launched with customers.
- You analyze market and customer needs, translate them into clear requirements, and share your findings with other departments in a structured manner.
- You create technical and commercial concepts (e.g., measurement concepts, price structures, service definitions) and evaluate their feasibility together with our product management team.
- You will work closely with account management, take on new topics with customers, and guide them through to the standardization phase.
Profile
- You have a degree in a technical or business-related field, e.g., industrial engineering, energy technology, electrical engineering, building technology, or business administration with a technical focus.
- You have relevant experience in smart metering, energy management, building technology, IoT, or related fields.
- You have a basic technical understanding of measurement concepts, meter technology, data flows, and regulatory requirements.
- You have the sales expertise to develop new markets and win pilot customers for new topics.
- You are familiar with the dynamics of young business areas where not everything has been defined yet, and you know how to create structure out of uncertainty.
- You communicate confidently, explain technical content in an understandable way, and convince customers to make a decision and close the deal.
- You have business fluent German skills (C1).
What we offer
- A job that lays the foundations for using energy and water sustainably and consciously.
- Permanent position with a fixed salary of between EUR 60 - 70 thousand + bonus.
- Flexible trust-based working hours, part-time option, at least two days of mobile working per week, individual training plan and regular feedback meetings.

- A green office, terrace and free drinks.
- Complete technical equipment.
- 30 vacation days/year.

- Family-friendly approach to reporting short-term illnesses in children.
We want to foster an open and respectful working environment in a diverse team!
If you would like to be part of it, we look forward to receiving your application.
