CO2 emissions in the real estate sector must be reduced quickly. But what is not measured cannot be controlled in a targeted manner: Our live data on consumption and generation in properties enables the most effective use of electricity, gas, heat and water in everyday life.

We are a young Berlin scale-up that supports sustainability and also lives it in our day-to-day business. We are looking for a Head of Operations in Berlin or Heidelberg at the earliest possible date.

Responsibilities

  • Overall Operational Responsibility for the Rollout: You translate the corporate vision into operational work packages and are responsible for a smart-meter rollout that combines high cycle rates with quality and sustainability.
  • Building a Resilient Organization: You are responsible for resource and budget planning for the Project and Supply Chain Management teams, establishing sustainable and resilient structures.
  • Empowering Leadership: You act as a coach for your direct reports, fostering true ownership through OKRs and a collaborative, performance-oriented team culture.
  • Process Excellence & Automation: In close collaboration with IT, Sales, and Finance, you optimize lead-to-cash processes – eliminating bottlenecks through automation and creating scalable workflows.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: You are responsible for setting up and maintaining KPI dashboards for your department, serving as a sounding board and basis for management decisions.

Profile

  • You hold a successfully completed university degree in business administration, (industrial) engineering, or a comparable qualification with a focus on operations, project management, or SCM.
  • You bring 8–15 years of relevant professional experience in operations, supply chain, or project management, and have already led 25+ FTEs using indirect leadership methods.
  • You also have experience in building or scaling operations or volume-driven business models (e.g., multiplying order processing volume while simultaneously reducing percentage costs through automation and process standardization) – ideally within an infrastructure or hardware environment.
  • Your mindset is hands-on, solution-oriented, structured, and execution-driven.
  • You are characterized by holistic thinking, strong teamwork skills (cross-functional), and excellent communication skills.
  • You possess business-fluent German and good English language skills.
  • Knowledge in the area of smart meter rollouts, metering point operation or the energy industry is an advantage, but not mandatory.

What we offer

  • A job that lays the foundations for using energy and water sustainably and consciously.
  • Permanent position with a fixed salary of between EUR 85 - 100 thousand.
  • Flexible trust-based working hours, part-time option, at least two days of mobile working per week, individual training plan and regular feedback meetings.
  • Germany ticket or job bike, as well as an office with very good public transport connections.
  • A green office, terrace, free drinks and ice cream.
  • Complete technical equipment.
  • 30 vacation days/year.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Family-friendly approach to reporting short-term illnesses in children.

We want open and respectful cooperation in a diverse team!
If you want to be part of it, we look forward to receiving your application.
