CO2 emissions in the real estate sector must be reduced quickly. But what is not measured cannot be controlled in a targeted manner: Our live data on consumption and generation in properties enables the most effective use of electricity, gas, heat and water in everyday life.

We are a young Berlin scale-up that supports sustainability and also lives it in our day-to-day business. We are looking for a Data Operations Manager - Measurements (m/f/x) in Berlin or Heidelberg at the earliest possible date.

You are responsible for reporting change processes in metering (WiM) smoothly, ensuring that our market communications are accurate and that data from our smart metering systems flows seamlessly. As we are in a period of dynamic growth, you will also play an active role in establishing new operational standards and structured routines within our data team.

Responsibilities

  • You manage and oversee the replacement processes in metering (WiM) - from meter replacement to successful market area registration.
  • You serve as the direct and reliable point of contact for distribution system operators (DSOs), suppliers, and market partners for all questions regarding metering locations (MeLo) and data formats.
  • You ensure that all metering data (electricity, gas, heat, water) is recorded in a plausible, complete, and regulatory-compliant manner, and you oversee the resolution of data and transmission issues.
  • You identify interface problems and gaps in current processes and help establish reliable standards and workflows within the Data Team.
  • You will gain in-depth familiarity with our proprietary management system and use it as a central tool for daily market communication.

Profile

  • You have successfully completed a commercial or technical apprenticeship or a degree program (e.g., energy management, business administration, industrial engineering).
  • You have at least 2–3 years of professional experience in the energy industry, grid operations, or metering.
  • You have in-depth knowledge and practical experience with market processes (WiM / MaKo) and understand the workflows involved in metering point operations.
  • You are proficient in using common ERP/CRM systems, Excel, and modern collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com).
  • You work in an extremely structured and conscientious manner and always maintain a clear overview, even when dealing with complex regulations and recurring data processes.
  • You are fluent in German (at least C1) for daily coordination with grid operators and have a good command of English (at least B2).

What we offer

  • A job that lays the foundations for using energy and water sustainably and consciously.
  • Permanent position with a fixed salary of between EUR 45 - 55 thousand.
  • Flexible trust-based working hours, part-time option, at least two days of mobile working per week, individual training plan and regular feedback meetings.
  • Germany ticket or job bike, as well as an office with very good public transport connections.
  • A green and dog-friendly office, terrace, free drinks and ice cream.
  • Complete technical equipment.
  • 30 vacation days/year.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Family-friendly approach to reporting short-term illnesses in children.
